Walstar Clear Media Engine helps you identify unused images in your WordPress Media Library and clean up media that is no longer needed.
The plugin provides a simple dashboard with Media Health information, background scanning in small batches, image details, bulk selection, Trash recovery, and permanent deletion.
You can move unused images to Trash when you want a recovery option, or permanently delete selected images when you are sure they are no longer needed.

How It Works
- Go to Media Clear Media Engine.
- Click “Scan for Unused Images”.
- The plugin scans your Media Library in background batches.
- Review the unused images shown in the grid.
- Select the images you want to clean.
- Move them to Trash if you may need to recover them later, or permanently delete them.
- Open the Trash tab to restore images or permanently remove them.
The Trash provides a recovery option before permanent deletion.

Installation
- Upload the
walstar-clear-media-engineplugin folder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory, or install the plugin ZIP from WordPress. - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
- Go to Media Clear Media Engine.
- Click “Scan for Unused Images” to begin scanning.

Does the plugin immediately delete unused images?

No. You can move images to Trash first so they can be restored if needed.

Can I restore an image from Trash?

Yes. Individual images can be restored, or you can use Restore All.

What happens to images in Trash?

Trashed images are kept for recovery and are automatically removed after 30 days unless restored earlier.
