The backend is hosted in the EU. The AI provider key is\nheld server-side; the plugin never contacts the AI provider directly.<\/p>\n\n<p>What is sent, and when:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When you sync your catalog<\/strong> (manually, on product save, and once daily): your\npublished WooCommerce product data \u2014 title, description, categories, tags,\nattributes, price, sale price, stock status, product URL and image URL \u2014 is sent\nto the backend so it can be indexed for matching.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When a visitor sends a chat message<\/strong>: the visitor's messages, an anonymous\nsession id, and the current page URL \/ product id are sent to the backend. The\nvisitor's IP address is not used for profiling and is not stored by SellChat. The\nbackend forwards the conversation to <strong>Anthropic (Claude)<\/strong> to generate a reply and\nproduct suggestions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On the settings screen<\/strong>: your site URL and plan\/usage are read from the backend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When a visitor who used the chat places an order<\/strong>: the order id, the attributed\namount, currency and any recommended product ids are sent to the backend so the\nadmin screen and dashboard can show revenue driven by the advisor. To attribute\norders the widget stores two first-party cookies (30 days): <code>sellchat_reco<\/code> (recommended\nproduct ids) and <code>sellchat_chat<\/code> (chat-engagement marker).
